 We just adopted our daughter from Moscow and we had read about Peace Travel prior to traveling to meet her. We are not a wealthy family so when we found out the cost of hotels we contacted Andrie. What a God send! Our trips happened so fast that the last one we didnt think we would be able to get an apartment because of the holidays, but Andrie came through for us only days before we left. Even if we were rich(which we arent) We would not rent a hotel ROOM when we could get an APARTMENT for less than half the cost per night. We also used his visa registration, it was great they picked up our papers and delivered the reciepts to our door. I will VERY highly recommend Peace Travel and Andrie to other adopting families and any friends who may travel to Russia. It is a beautiful country with beautiful people. We plan to go back when our dughter is old and we will use Peace Travel agian.

 My fiance and me went to Moscow in September of this year and rented 2 apartments in the same building in Kamergersky lane. I found Peace Travel thru tripadvisor.com, the site that I really trust for travel recs. We really enjoyed staying in both places. Apartments are really clean, cozy, secure and have all necessary appliances and supplies. Can't beat the location, Kamergersky lane is a pretty pedestrian street, 3 mins away from the Red Square and in close proximity of restaurants, coffee shops, stores, etc. I really liked our building too, it's a classic architecture of the 1930s, which is very solid, and therefore it's very quite inside in spite of the fact that you're right in the center of the dynamic city. I am originally from Moscow myself, but grew up away from the center, and can appreciate the exclusive location. My Moscow friends were also impressed that we were staying in such prestigious neighborhood. The ability to make unlimited free calls back to the US from the apartments is very valuable. Also, we liked the fact that there are so many TV channels in English. I speak Russian and love Russian TV, but for my fiance, who doesn't know Russian, it was nice to be able to watch different Discovery Channel networks, etc. It was a great pleasure to deal with the company. Everybody we dealt with is very responsible, polite, nice and trustworthy in person, by phone and email. We had transfers to and from the airport as well, really convenient and a great deal. Overall, to rent an apartment in Moscow thru Peace Travel is an unbeatable alternative to overpriced Moscow hotels. We will use this company without any doubts in the future and definitely recommend to everyone who plans to travel to Russia to use Peace Travel Services! Thank you very much.

 I just returned from a visit to Russia. Andrei was recommended to me by my friend John (see his March 2004 entry below). Since this was my second visit to Russia I was skeptical about needing help, but I took John’s advice and I am so pleased with the results. I was extremely pleased with the services provided by Andrei; everything was like clock work, right on time, and in great condition. Andrei’s recommendations were perfect for me. Andrei treats you like you are his best friend and he will do his best to accommodate your needs. Examples, I dropped my laptop on the way to Russia and Andrei provided me a rental. I needed to be at the Moscow train station at 6am in the morning, and Andrei himself was there himself to take me to the train and to make sure I was standing in front of the correct train car!!! I wished for ballet tickets to the Bolshoi Theater, Andrei acquired tickets better than I could have imagined! I needed last minute taxi service to the outskirts of Moscow and Andrei arranged for it. Andrei takes away any worries you may have with his answers to all your questions before and while you are in Russia; he is just a phone call away. Be sure when I return to Russia, I will use Andrei’s services again. Andrei adds great value to all he does for you.

 We stayed in the High Rise Suite during our last stay in Moscow and absolutely LOVED it! How convienent and spacious compared to a hotel room! We adopted our first son in 2002 and just brought our second son home last week. After staying with Peace Travel for a week, we couldn't believe we didn't know of them for our four previous trips to Russia! How great that would have been versus our cramped stay at the Marriot. Especially for adoptive families - there is absolutely no better way to go than renting an apartment! Good Luck and thank you Peace Travel!

 My husband and I were in Moscow for 31 days. We were there to finalize the adoption of our 8yr. old daughter. We had heard a lot of great things about Andrei with Peace Travel. We decided to give him a try….and were we glad we did! We cannot say enough great things about Andrei and his service. He is genuinely an incredibly nice person and his customer care is impeccable. You don’t even get service like that in many places in the U.S! Unfortunately our apartment was previously reserved and we had to relocate mid-way through our stay in Moscow. We found another agency with an apartment near Red Square that was available. We would save about $360 if we transferred to one of their apartments. Moscow is incredibly expensive and we were there for a long time so we needed to save all we could, so we transferred. Only 2 days into our new apartment and we had serious regrets about not continuing with Andrei! It would have been well worth the extra money to stay with him and his service. Lesson learned! We are returning to Moscow again soon and will undoubtedly be using Peace Travel. I would encourage ANY adoptive parent to use Peace Travel. You will have no regrets! Andrei goes out of his way, above and beyond, to make your stay in Moscow (which is stressful enough as it is) as comfortable and smooth as possible.

 We used Andrie's services for airline tickets, hotel and apartment reservations, and transportation. We will be forever greatful to Andrie for his help. Our court date was postponed in July and we had to return home early. As you can imagine we were totatlly stressed out. Andrie was always available by phone, answers all e-mail quickly and was so very helpful to us. We were so impressed with his professionalism and determination to help you solve a problem. We will definately use Peace Travel when we return to get our girls.

 I was going to Caucasus for the first time in December 2001 and I had huge problems with finding someone who could sell me train tickets for trips inside Russia in Norway. Peace Travels was the sollution and they gave me great service then. I went back to Caucasus and the city of Vladikavkaz this Christmas and New Years as well and off course, I used Peace Travels again.  I have used Peace Travel to assist me with all 4 of my trips to Russia. Andrei has been very reliable and fair in all of our dealings. When I emailed him the wrong day I needed a driver at an airport in Moscow, I was able to reach him by phone. He promptly sent a driver and ended what seemed like a huge problem at the time. Even before we left the USA our flight was delayed. I knew this could affect my travel in Russia. I got off the plane and quickly called Andrei, to explain my situation. He is so helpful when things go wrong. If you are going to Russia, you need someone you can count on if there is a glitch. Andrei can be counted on and he will not raise the prices just because you are in jam.
  During my travels to the far east, it is rare to hear english so when I run into an American I always talk to them. Everyone I spoke to told me of some travel nightmare they had lived through due to the failure of their travel agent. No driver, spending the night in an airport, phone cards that never worked. It really made me realize how valuable Peace travel truly is. I have written it before and I will write it again....
  Unless you speak fluent Russian, you need a reliable and honest travel agent when you are traveling in Russia. You only need one and I doubt you will find one better than Peace Travel.

 Pts was recomended by our adoption agency , I would HIGHLY reccomend pts too. We spent nearly a month in Moscow at the Ukrania , pts gave us a great room with a great rate of $81 per night for double occupancy. We saw in the lobby that the "rack rate" was $99 for a single, Andrei gave us a deal !
  Andrei was also there to iron out a problem with the hotel clerks & gave us phone cards free of charge ! I would recomend PTS to any adoptive parents going to Moscow or Russia. Andrei you were a help to us , Thank You.

  I went to Russia last year and used the VIP service as well as the visa service. This company performs better than advertised. I was met in the LONG customs line by an English speaking Russian gal who took me through the diplomatic lane in about 3 minutes and I was there waitng for my luggage while others were still in the customs line.
 
  Anrei had a taxi driver (an honest one!!) there waiting for me.
 
  My 19 year old son is going to Russia in August this year and I am going again in Septemeber and will not even consider doing business with another agency.

 I first used PTS as a 16 yr old and I can tell u now that at the time I knew nothing about russia, people told me that when I arrived the russian mafia would kidnap me! I was very scared. PTS took all the worries out of my travels though, they met me at the arrivals hall and took me to exactly where I needed to go. everything when swiftly and I can say that my first trip to russia was definetly a good one thanks to PTS and Andrei. I am going on my second trip next month and once again I'll be using PTS. I am a bargain hunter and I can tell u that i have searched through every russian travel website and I can guarantee that PTS is by far the cheapest and probably the most reliable and friendliest.  I was very pleased with experience with Peace Travel. The phone card I got from Andrei worked well. The VIP service was great and a relief for me, because I was dreading customs. The 2 beautiful girls who met me when I arrived made going through passport control (you get to use the diplomat lane) and customs very enjoyable. Although there was a missing bag and they became extremely valuable as nobody at Aeroflot's lost luggage counter spoke English and all the forms were in Russian. But one of the girls found my missing bag.... and with a smile to the customs agent I went through without a question or bag opened.

  Regarding your negative post on the Peace Travel Services web site.
  Were you able to rent the same room for $25 yourself or though someone else? I am assuming that this was your first trip to Russia and you made the unfortunate mistake to speak with someone who thought he was an expert in regards to travel in Russia and the prices to pay for services. I am no expert but I have spent a total of three months in Russia on several occassions and I can say with authority that I have never seen a hotel charge less than $65 a day. I stayed in Irkutsk which is overall less expensive than Moscow and the Hotel I considered charged $70 minimum. If you did rent this same room for $25 a day without the assistance of PTS, I would say congradulations, you are a smart traveler. If you did not, I would say "shame on you" for trying to ruin a good businessmans reputation because of second hand, incorrect information. I have listened to a lot of people who "knew it all" and experts when it comes to Russia and most of their information turned out to be just plain wrong.

The customer is refering to the Ukraina hotel in Moscow. Their rack rate is US$ 110, but for some reson he thinks that our special discounted rate of US$ 65 offered to him for his room should be only $ 25 as "somebody" told him.

 Please remove my previous entry as I am not happy with your service. The $65 you charged me for what I discovered to be a $25 hotel room is not good service and I do not appreciate being taken advantage of. The reason everyone else is happy is because they do not know any better. I am sure this entry will be removed rather quickly.

 We had the best of trips and will most definintly will use Andrei in about 4-5 more weeks for our second trip. If you are in a strange place, they will make it more safer and easy to get wher you need to be, train by car or airplane. Use them, you will not regret it. Thanks Andrei and driver.
